Welcome to the website of S Pelwan Security trading as SP Security Services (“SP Security”). By using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review these terms carefully.

1. Introduction

SP Security is a close corporation registered in the Republic of South Africa. We provide professional security services, including monitoring, guarding, and reaction services, in accordance with the terms of our agreements with clients. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and any services requested or rendered through it.

2. Definitions

For clarity, the following terms are used throughout these Terms and Conditions:

  • “SP Security” refers to S Pelwan Security trading as SP Security Services.
  • “Client” refers to any person or entity engaging with SP Security for services.
  • “Services” means the security services offered, including monitoring, guarding, and reaction services, as detailed in individual client agreements.

3. Services Provided

SP Security provides the following services, subject to written agreements with clients:

  1. Monitoring: Electronic surveillance and alarm monitoring as defined by applicable regulatory laws.
  2. Reaction: Armed and unarmed response to emergencies and alarms.
  3. Guarding: Deployment of trained security personnel to client premises.

SP Security strives to minimize risks but does not warrant or guarantee the prevention of theft, damage, or loss.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients engaging with SP Security agree to:

  1. Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding their security needs.
  2. Notify SP Security of any amendments or additional requests in writing.
  3. Ensure timely payment of invoices as per agreed terms.

Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of services.

5. Payment Terms

  1. Invoices are generated monthly and must be paid no later than the 30th day of each month.
  2. Payments can be made via electronic transfer or other approved methods.
  3. Late payments may result in suspension of services, interest on overdue amounts, and recovery fees.

6. Hardware and Equipment

  1. Any hardware installed by SP Security, such as radio transmitting units, remains the property of SP Security.
  2. Upon termination of services, SP Security reserves the right to remove its equipment from the client’s premises.

7. Indemnity

SP Security shall not be liable for:

  1. Loss or damage to property due to criminal activities.
  2. Delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including force majeure events such as strikes, power outages, or natural disasters.

8. Termination and Renewal

  1. Contracts are renewed automatically unless the client provides a written notice of termination at least three months prior to the contract’s end date.
  2. Early termination by the client may result in a penalty fee equivalent to six months of service costs.

9. Legal Compliance

These terms and the agreements between SP Security and its clients shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.

10. Changes to Terms

SP Security reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on this website.
